  • THE DANCE THEATER

Exploring contemporary dance from an American and Caribbean perspective with a multidisciplinary approach, The Errol Grimes Dance Theater blends contemporary dance with music, poetry, visual arts and multimedia. Performing for US audiences as well as audiences around the world, EGDT also conducts residencies, workshops, and symposia in the communities in which it performs. Singled out as a “poet of motion” by The New York Times, Errol Grimes, founder, choreographer and artistic director with his early immersion in Caribbean mythology, storytelling, music, costume, explores our contemporary quest for identity through his work.
